PREP PROFILES Chesapeake (Va.) Grassfield wide receiver Grant Holloway recently narrowed his list down to a top four of Virginia Tech, Florida, Geor - gia and Oregon, but the speedster would still like to take an official visit to Michigan this fall if he can. The 6-2, 182-pounder not only s h i n e s o n t h e football field, but he also lights it up on the track. With a national title in the 60-me - ter hurdles (7.53 seconds) and a laser-timed 4.32 4 0 - y a r d d a s h , H o l l o w a y i s wanted in track spikes as much as he is coveted in a football helmet. Holloway has never visited Mich - igan, but he's still clinging to inter- est in the Maize and Blue. Jim Har- baugh and his staff aren't the only U-M coaches reciprocating interest in the No. 6 football player in the state of Virginia, though. "I'm definitely still considering Michigan," Holloway said. "I just finished talking to the track coach. I think he did a home visit with me on Monday, and I really enjoyed that. I had a great time talking with him. "I'm looking forward to getting up there for an official visit if every - thing works out right. On the foot- ball side of things, I talk with Coach [Tyrone] Wheatley and Coach [Jedd] Fisch." His official visit list is still taking a shape and right now, Michigan is tentatively on it. There haven't been any concrete dates discussed yet, but the wheels are in motion. While Michi - gan is currently outside of Hol- loway's top four, a good official visit to Ann Ar- bor could change that. "Michigan is kind of on the e d g e o f t h a t top group right now," Holloway said. "I really like their track and football programs, and I'm trying to keep them there, but I haven't seen Michigan yet." Holloway's up front and honest approach is refreshing in the world of recruiting and while it may not work out for Michigan at least the coaches will know. If the Wolverines start to pick up some momentum, though, Holloway has an idea of when everyone will know about it. "I hope to have it done in the fall," he said. "November 19 is my birthday and I would like to maybe do it then. I just want to enjoy wher - ever I decide to go for the rest of my senior year." — Brandon Brown Virginia Speedster Wants To Take An Official Visit To U-M ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ Grassfield High School Chesapeake, Va.
