"Ibi is going to work hard. He's
just an extremely hard worker, a
great kid, a humble kid. He's really
unselfish."
LeVert is the easy comparison, he
continued — not necessarily in play-
ing style, but in every other aspect.
"When I was an assistant [at Cen-
tral], I got the phone calls from Caris
about his game — 'What can I do to
get better?'" he recalled. "Now I'm
the head coach, and with Ibi it's the
same thing. Ibi is the only other kid
who has done that.
"It's a big reason why Ibi contin-
ues to improve and become a better
player. He's constantly in the gym,
a student of the game and a really
good student academically, too."
Watson and LeVert have become
fast friends since Watson transferred
into the school over a year ago. Le-
Vert's encouragement helped push
the buttons that brought Watson to
the next level.
