J on Falk was hired as Michi- gan's equipment manager in 1974 by Bo Schembechler at only 23 years old and stayed on the job for four decades. During his 40 years working for the Wolverines, he became an expert on the team, un- official historian of the program and friend to all who passed through. He has seen it all, through the ups and downs that U-M has experienced since he first joined the family. It is said that Falk knows the ins and outs of Michigan football and The Big House better than most players and coaches who he helped during his time on campus. "Big Jon" also offers a unique per- spective on the Wolverines' new boss, former All-America quarterback Jim Harbaugh, whom Falk has known since he was a youngster running around the Michigan locker room as the son of assistant coach Jack Har- baugh. The current head coach even penned the foreword for Falk's sec- ond book on Michigan football. Forty Years In The Big House is a com- pilation of exclusive interviews and Jon Falk Spins More Michigan Tales An Excerpt From The Former U-M Equipment Manager's New Book Forty Years In The Big House
