The Wolverine: What makes this book unique?
Falk: "[Former head coach] Brady Hoke said, 'Jon Falk was able to keep a job
for 40 years at the University of Michigan.' Forty years, in one highly political,
highly publicized institution … it's hard to keep that job 40 years.
"I thought to myself, what a great opportunity to go through and just talk
about how I got to Michigan, and all the people, places, players and coaches
I've been able to work with during those 40 years. I talked about all of the
things that happened with those players and coaches.
"I talk about each one of those coaches. I tell what I thought of them, and
they tell what they thought of me. My sister read this book the other day, and
Falk has no shortage of stories to share after spending 40 years on the Michigan football
sidelines and working under five head coaches.
