COMMITMENT PROFILE Upper Marlboro (Md.) River- dale Baptist cornerback Sir Patrick Scott became the 22nd member of Michigan's 2016 recruiting class after his first-ever visit to Ann Ar- bor for the Bar- becue at The Big House. The three- s t a r p r o s p e c t knew right when he got to campus t h a t M i c h i g a n was the place for him. "As soon as I got there, I loved it," Scott said. "We went on a tour and I loved how everything looked, and I just felt comfortable immediately. Everything was very well kept, and I could just see myself there. "The football side of everything is amazing, too. Michigan has a great history of success, and with Jim Har- baugh there now I think he's going to really turn the program around, and I want to be a part of that." Harbaugh has a lot of recruits look- ing harder at Michigan, and it was no different for Scott. Rivals.com's No. 22 player in Maryland held of- fers from Arizona, California, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan State and Wis- consin, among others, but a chance to play for Harbaugh was too much to pass up. "When I was talking with Coach Harbaugh, he just seemed like a cool, laid-back guy," Scott explained. "It was fun to talk with him and we had great con- v e r s a t i o n s . H e just seemed like a great guy, and I could tell that I'd love to be coached by him." Scott loved the idea of playing f o r H a r b a u g h , but he also loved the comfort that he felt at Michi- gan. He was there on a busy day with a lot of other recruits, but he still felt the love he was hoping he'd feel. "I was talking with Coach Har- baugh and I just told him that I wanted to verbal," Scott explained. "We just shook on it and he imme- diately told the rest of the staff and they seemed really excited about it. I got a bunch of congratulations from the coaches, the players on the team and a bunch of the other committed guys, too. It was a really cool experi- ence to be a part of." One of the reasons the staff was so excited to land Scott is because of his size. His 6-1, 170-pound frame is exactly the type of defensive back Harbaugh likes to put in his second- ary, and the staff made sure that Scott One Visit Was Enough For Sir Patrick Scott Rivals.com rates Scott, a 6-1, 170-pound cornerback from Upper Marlboro (Md.)
