two touchdowns. At a position group drawing close scrutiny this spring, Darboh has a chance to step up as a main target. 8. Joe Bolden LB Bolden led the way statistically for the Wolverines on defense a year ago, posting 102 tackles with a pair of sacks among four tackles for loss. He has now started 16 games and insists he's ready to put forth his best show- ing yet as a senior. One of the most heady performers on the Michigan defense, he'll be looked to for both leadership and playmaking. 9. Desmond Morgan LB Morgan proved a tough loss for the Wolverines last year, getting injured in the season opener against Appala- chian State and not returning to the lineup. He posted 79 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery the year before, and brings a wealth of experience as a fifth-year senior. 10. Kyle Kalis OL The redshirt junior out of Lake- wood, Ohio, hasn't found an easy road at Michigan thus far, despite his former five-star prep status in the Rivals.com rankings. All indications are, though, that he's about to take a major step forward in paving the road for the Wolverines. Kalis started seven games last sea- son after garnering nine starts as a redshirt freshman. The former final- ist for U.S. Army Player of the Year in the prep ranks got pulled from the lineup for a time last season, but he seems to have responded well to Harbaugh's staff. Offensive line coach and run game coordinator Tim Drevno noted he likes what he's seen of Kalis so far, mentioning a serious-minded atti- tude and purposeful preparation. Drevno has been the offensive line guru for Harbaugh's last three teams, all of which developed strong rush- ing attacks. While the competition is ongoing, there seems little doubt that Kalis will lock down the right guard spot in the U-M offensive front wall. He'll also be looked upon to lead, given that this will be his third season in the starting lineup.
