It was supposed to be Tarean
Folston's breakout game, but very early
in Notre Dame's 38-3 victory over Texas
the junior running back went down
with a knee injury. Folston ended the
game on crutches, and his status mov-
ing forward is in doubt.
"Obviously, a knee injury," head
coach Brian Kelly said after the game.
"We do not have an MRI to go on yet.
We'll get one [Sunday] morning."

From a depth standpoint, Notre
Dame can ill-afford to lose Folston af-
ter already losing fellow junior running
back Greg Bryant, who was suspended
in August and chose to transfer away
from Notre Dame. With Folston down
for the count, the carries fell to a former
