Recruiting Notes
• Ann Arbor (Mich.) Skyline linebacker
Daelin Hayes might have given a verbal
pledge to USC in the summer of 2014,
but just because the five-star prospect is
committed to the Trojans doesn't mean his
recruitment is over.
Actually, it's the opposite.
Hayes — who is ranked as the No. 1
recruit in Michigan, the No. 3 outside
linebacker in the country and the No. 13
overall prospect in the class of 2016 by
Rivals — is keeping his options open, and
he's giving Notre Dame a look.
"My commitment is my commitment,"
Hayes said. "I have one official visit that I'm
going to take to Notre Dame. I just want to
get down there. [Head coach] Brian Kelly
has been hitting me up tremendously, and
they are back recruiting me real hard. They
are making an effort to recruit me, so I'm
going to give them a chance."
Master List Changes
Prospects Removed: RB Elijah Holyfield of Atlanta (committed to Georgia), WR Amir Mitchell of Egg Har-
bor City, N.J. (committed to Michigan) and DB Andrew Pryts of Hermitage, Pa. (committed to Penn State).
Ann Arbor (Mich.) Skyline's Daelin Hayes, the nation's
No. 3 outside linebacker and No. 13 overall player
according to Rivals, plans to take an official visit to
Notre Dame Oct. 17 despite the fact he is committed to
USC.
