sophomore nose guard Daniel Cage, was able to plug the middle of the line. "They had a tough time blocking that group," Kelly said. "I thought that that singularly was probably the big- gest factor in the game. They had a difficult time blocking our defensive front line and that's Cage, that's Til- lery, obviously in particular, the two inside guys." Texas rotated junior Tyrone Swoopes and redshirt sophomore Jerrod Heard at quarterback in the first half. Neither one had much success behind an of- fensive line that started a pair of true freshmen, and by the second half the offense was left up exclusively to the better passer Swoopes.
