FOOTBALL RECRUITING country by Rivals … Listed as the No. 49 player in his home state by ESPN. Statistics/Honors: Racked up 112 total stops and three tackles for loss for a 12‑2 St. John Bosco team … Earned honorable mention notice on The Long Beach Press Telegram's Dream Team. Recruitment: Visited Notre Dame in late March and ultimately received an offer, but not before he had decided to commit to Arizona State … Recently backed off that pledge and re‑opened his recruit‑ ment … The Irish are once again in the mix, and he took an official visit to Notre Dame Sept. 5. BGI's Take: Morgan plays at one of the top pro‑ grams in the nation and was a force as a junior. He has a good frame, so much so that growing into an in‑the‑box defender is not out of the question. He does his best work closer to the line of scrimmage, shows good range and flashes smooth athletic skills. Rivals rates Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco product D.J. Morgan as a four-star prospect, the No. 47 player in California and the No. 22 safety nationally. PHOTO COURTESY RIVALS.COM
