self by rushing for 72 yards and three
touchdowns on 12 carries. In addition,
freshman B-back Marcus Marshall ex-
ploded for 184 yards and two touch-
downs on only eight carries.
"Skov is a bulldozer — he just runs
through people," Quinlan said. "He's
tough to tackle and a great blocker,

He gives them a really neat, crisp vet-
eran dimension at that B-back posi-
tion.
"Marcus Marshall is a change-up
guy, and [redshirt junior] Marcus Al-
len is sort of in between those two
guys. I think they've exceeded expec-
tations so far. They might actually be
more talented than the previous guys;
the key will be getting more experi-
ence."
Tech's offensive line is one of the

Steele's 2015 College Football Preview
ranked the unit No. 13 nationally, trail-

No. 2 and Stanford at No. 8.
Steele named redshirt junior center
Freddie Burden preseason second-
team All-ACC, and he's flanked by
fifth-year senior tackles Bryan Cham-
berlain and Errin Joe, who Lindy's
tabbed as preseason first-team and
second-team All-ACC, respectively.
"Their whole engine starts with the
center," Quinlan said. "Their center is
as good as any in the ACC in Freddie
Burden. He's the guy that goes and
attacks the middle linebacker, which
Fifth-year senior safety Jamal Golden, who compiled 61 tackles and four interceptions in 2014, is part of a
strong Yellow Jackets secondary.
