NOTRE DAME RUNNING GAME
VS. GEORGIA TECH RUN DEFENSE
The Yellow Jackets struggled shutting down the
run game for much of last season, allowing 167.6
yards per game and 5.1 yards per rush. Georgia Tech
allowed at least 150 rushing yards in seven games
last season and seven opponents averaged at least
5.0 yards per carry. The Yellow Jackets possess just
average size up front with just one defensive lineman
in the rotation checking in at more than 285 pounds.
Neither of Georgia Tech's early opponents — Al-
corn State and Tulane —helped prepare its defense
for the challenge it will face in Notre Dame. The Irish
offensive line pounded Texas to the tune of 214 rush-
