like [former Florida stars] Chandler Parsons and Nick Calathes, and I think John is very much on that level. I'd say he's easily top 50. "His sophomore year, he was in the top 40 on ESPN. But he didn't play on the summer circuit, and he doesn't put himself out there as much either. "He's just not that kind of kid — he's not on social media much, for instance. He's one of those that just wants to work and let his game do the talking. "There's not anything he really can't do. He's got an inside game and an outside game; he can shoot the three. DeLaurier took an official visit to Texas over the Sept. 12 weekend, and he will see Stanford during the Oct. 10 weekend and Duke over the Oct. 24 weekend. Duke, Stanford and Arizona have all set in-home visits in mid-September. A high achiever academically, including a 32 on his ACT, DeLaurier has prioritized the quality of a DeLaurier, the No. 42 overall player nationally accord- ing to Rivals, was also on campus during the weekend of Sept. 5 and is down to six schools, including Notre Dame.
