GOOD NEWS Rutgers has returned two kickoffs for a touchdown already this sea- son. No other team in the confer- ence has one. BAD NEWS Aside from Leonte Carroo, RU's star WR who was arrested Satur- day night, six other Rutgers play- ers have been kicked off the team over the past two weeks as a re- sult of arrests. DID YOU KNOW? Rutgers has scored 97 points in its first two games, which is the most to open a season since the Scarlet Knights scored 107 in the first two games of the 1993 cam- paign. "It was tough to walk into this press conference," Franklin said in his opening. This week's press conference must have been even more di,cult for Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood. Following a 37-34 loss to Washington State – a Pac-12 team that a week before lost, 24-17, to Portland State, a Football Championship Subdivision school – Flood learned that he had more negatives to deal with. Less than an hour a-er the WSU game, star wide receiver Leonte Carroo was involved in an incident out- side of Rutgers' football head- quarters. According to NJ.com, Carroo was arrested by univer- sity police and charged with simple assault in connection with an alleged episode of domestic violence.
