High three-star safety Devin Studstill told Blue & Gold Illustrated that he likes both Notre Dame and Miami, but he wants to see how things go this season before taking the next step in the process. "I'm in no rush," Studstill said. "I want to make my decision as late as possible. I want to see how every- thing plays out. I want to see what coaches are still there, what players are still there, because that's all going to help me make my decision." Studstill, who is ranked as the No. 43 athlete in the country and the No. 63 prospect in the state of Florida by Rivals, was in South Bend for the Irish Invasion in June. He will return to campus for an official visit Oct. 17 to see Notre Dame face USC. "That's the only visit that I have lined up," he said. "I'm not sure who will be coming with me or which parent it will be, but we'll see." Miami, like Notre Dame, is a school that Studstill has visited in the past, and according to the safety prospect, the local Hurricanes are using a similar pitch as the Irish to get him back on campus. "They have said the same thing as Notre Dame," Studstill said. "They need guys in the secondary. You would get to play early, and that there's not a lot of depth at the position. Really, it's the same as Notre Dame." While Studstill admits that early playing time is something that he will consider, he claims that he's more interested in which coaches will be in place when he signs. "It's not a main decision," Studstill explained. "But I want to see what coaches leave, and what players get hurt. I want to see how teams do. It's more than, 'I just want to go to this school no matter what.' I just have to see what school is the best for me." The 6-1, 183-pound Studstill is also hearing from West Virginia, North Carolina and Louisville.
