UNDER THE DOME
2.5
Points No. 14 Georgia Tech was fa-
vored by against No. 8 Notre Dame
prior to their Sept. 19 clash. To our knowledge, it is
the only time we can recall an Associated Press top-10
Notre Dame team as a home underdog against another
team that was not ranked in the AP top 10.

Dame baseball player A.J. POLLOCK
(2007-09) with the Arizona Diamond-
backs. That was the second most in the
National League. The 17th pick of the 2009
Major League Baseball Draft and a 2015
All-Star, Pollock has the most hits ever
in one season by a former Fight-
ing Irish player in the MLB. (Carl
Yastrzemski, who briefly attended
Notre Dame in 1958 but did not
play varsity baseball, had 189 hits
while winning the Triple Crown for
the Boston Red Sox in 1967.)
