FOOTBALL RECRUITING to his four favorites — Michigan, Notre Dame, Colorado and UCLA — and make a December commit- ment before enrolling in January. The nephew of Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano and San Diego Chargers defensive coordina- tor John Pagano has the bloodlines to succeed in the sport. LAVERT HILL 5-11, 173 • Detroit Martin Luther King Four-star talent, No. 5 prospect in Michigan, and No. 13 cornerback and No. 182 overall player in the country Although he's currently committed to Penn State, that hasn't stopped the younger brother of U-M junior defen- sive back Delano Hill from keeping his options open. He has taken mul- t i p l e u n o ff i c i a l visits to Michi- gan and Michigan State, and has also seen Ohio State. If Michigan ramps up the interest in a big way, they should have a shot to steal him away from the Nittany Lions. He is a smooth athlete in the secondary and can lock down in man coverage. He's a big, strong defensive end with good quickness off the edge and could be an impact player at the next level. CHRIS DANIELS 6-3, 301 • Euless (Texas) Trinity Four-star recruit, No. 20 prospect in Texas, and No. 17 defensive tackle and No. 176 overall player in the land Daniels is the closest thing Michi- gan has on the board to a true space- plugging defen- sive tackle, and he's more than that too. While h e d o e s h a v e the frame to be a 330-pound mass in the middle, he is quick off the ball and even plays de- fensive end for his
