especially when you're tackling bigger guys at the next level. I would say that my footwork is some- thing I want to work on. I wouldn't call it a weakness, but I would say that it's something I need to improve on if I want to make a smooth transition to the next level. Man coverage is another thing that I want to improve on. Guys are just big- ger, faster, stronger at that level, so those are two things that I think will help me if I can improve. Do you know what you want to ma- jor in? Also, is there any chance you will enroll early at Penn State? No, I'm not going to enroll early. I'm going to enjoy high school, enjoy the time I have with my friends. I will probably major in business, but I still have time to &gure that out. I de&- nitely want to think about it more, but that's where I'm leaning right now. But yeah, academics were big for me and I think that, if you really look at the &ve schools I was really considering this summer, it supports that. They're all great academic schools. How much did being a legacy prospect really impact you? You had said a few times that it really wasn't going to factor into your decision much. But now that you're o cially committed, what do you think about that? It's something I'm definitely going to embrace. I'm proud of that, for sure. My dad has already gotten so many emails and texts from former players and coaches that he still talks with. That's a big thing at Penn State, too. There have been a lot of great legacy players over the years, and I definitely want to do everything I can to keep that going. But, at the same time, it didn't really have any impact on my decision. My dad never even really brought it up. We al- ways just cared about &nding the best &t for me, and that's all that really mat- tered. Is there anything you'd like to say to Penn State fans now that you've made your decision? I would tell them that getting the chance to help make Penn State great again is really exciting. I've been around the program more than most. I've seen the ups, I've seen the downs. Throughout all of that, Penn State has always kept the traditions that got them to where they are in the &rst place, and I love that. Now, it's time to get PSU back to where this program should be. I have complete faith in all of our coaches, too. Coach Franklin has done an amazing job re- cruiting. There are some great players coming to Penn State now, so everything is lining up for Penn State to be great again. Getting the chance to help them take that next step really excites me. That's what I'm looking forward to the most. ■
