Paris Palmer replacing him at left tackle.
Franklin called the injury "a nagging
deal." Penn State was able to get its run-
ning game untracked even without Nel-
son in the lineup against the Bulls,
and it didn't give up any sacks after sur-
rendering 10 in the opener. But Nelson's
health is of paramount importance to
Penn State. Without him manning one
of the tackle spots – he played right
tackle vs. Temple and left tackle vs. Buf-
falo – the team's offensive production is
likely to suffer.
