UNDER THE DOME
3
Notre Dame players listed among the first 20 in
ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr.'s "Big Board" for the
2016 NFL Draft. Junior linebacker Jaylon Smith is
No. 6, senior left tackle Ronnie Stanley No. 7 and
junior wide receiver Will Fuller's stock rose to
No. 20. The last time the Fighting Irish had
at least three players among the top 20
picks in one season was 1993 when
they had four: quarterback Rick Mirer
(No. 2), running back Jerome Bettis
(No. 10), cornerback Tom Carter (No. 17)
and tight end Irv Smith (No. 20).
397
Receiving yards
by junior W I L L
FULLER during
Notre Dame's 3-0 start this season.
That was already more than any Irish
player had during the 3-9 season in
2007, when tight end John Carl-
son's 372 yards led the team.
Fuller's receiving yardage is also
more than David Givens' team-
high 333 for the 2000 Irish
BCS team, Lake Dawson's 395
for the 10-1 regular season
team in 1993, and Raghib
"Rocket" Ismail's 360 for
the 12-0 national champs
in 1988.
