Tillery is simply not your conven‑
tional defensive lineman. For in‑
stance, his mind is set on the rare
path of excelling in college football
while also pursuing medical school.
With both parents in the medical
profession and an older sister who is
a nurse, he has been exposed to that
career path for years.
"Why can't you do both? Plenty of
people have done it before me," Til‑
lery explained. "I don't think I'm the
Tillery, who had four tackles and a sack through three games, received the first start of his career in the
30‑22 win over Georgia Tech Sept. 19.
