FAN FORUM is pushups like the students do after each score. This year after the first half, the ushers came to us and said that we weren't allowed to do pushups with her because of a "liability" issue. They also went to others in our section and told them to stop. We noticed that in the student area after each score they continued to do pushups after each score and that the ushers didn't interfere. So why can the students do pushups after each score and the rest of the fans in the stands not? If it was a "liability" issue for us then why wasn't it one for the students, too? This is a nice tradition the students have that no one wants to see end, but fair is fair for all who attend games at Notre Dame. Bob Matheny Via the Internet WANTED: BIASED BROADCASTING When is Notre Dame going to wake up and replace the current announcers for our football games with ones that truly love ND and are more enthusias- tic when calling the game? I listen to other schools' broadcast- ers and they show real love and ex- citement when their teams complete a great play and/or score. Our announc- ers lack this emotion and tend to focus more on how well our opponent is playing. How about adding a segment on get- ting to know the Notre Dame coaches and players, and all of the awesome things they do for the university and the community? Dan Hicks is boring, Doug Flutie played for BC and stop bringing back Tom Hammond. Here is a suggestion: Get Don Criqui and Brady Quinn in the booth, and have Tim Brown on the sideline. Go Irish!
