FOOTBALL RECRUITING ROUNDUP to evaluate all the schools he visits before making a decision. "The plan is to see everybody and take all of my visits and then go from there," Jones said. He is ranked by the Orlando Sentinel's Super60 as the No. 2 prospect in Central Florida. • The game versus Navy Oct. 10 won't draw many visitors to campus, but at least two top targets are expected to be in town for official visits. Boulder (Colo.) Fairview four-star defensive end Carlo Kemp and Los Angeles Loyola four-star cornerback David Long have both made plans to be in South Bend. Kemp, who is the nephew of Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, has had Notre Dame near the top of his list for months, but an official visit to Michigan Sept. 26 has the Wolverines trending up in his recruitment. While the Irish have ground to make up with Kemp, the same can be said about Long, who is committed to Stanford. The defensive back has always liked Notre Dame, but claims that he's just taking the visit in case there's a hold up in Palo Alto. "I'm just trying to see some schools and get a backup plan if things don't work out," Long told Rivals. "I haven't been accepted [into Stanford] yet." The 6-0, 170-pound Long is ranked as the No. 23 recruit in California, and the No. 11 cornerback and No. 134 overall prospect in the nation. The 6-3, 250-pound Kemp is listed as the top player in Colorado, and the No. 9 weakside defensive end and No. 203 overall prospect in the land. — Andrew Ivins Follow @BGI_aivins on Twitter for daily recruiting updates available on BlueandGold.com!
