FOOTBALL RECRUITING BY ANDREW IVINS A home game against USC can have a major impact on an Irish recruiting class. The last time USC was in town, Notre Dame welcomed 15 official visi- tors to campus for the weekend, includ- ing current starting left guard Quenton Nelson, current starting tight end Tyler Luatua, cornerback Nick Watkins and linebacker Nyles Morgan. Notre Dame is expected to host an- other large group of prospects for the 2015 edition of the rivalry game, and the talent level has the potential to be outstanding. As of Oct. 8, the Irish are scheduled to host Ann Arbor (Mich.) Skyline five- star linebacker Daelin Hayes, Tampa (Fla.) Catholic five-star wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers, Corona (Calif.) Cen- tennial four-star wide receiver Javon McKinley, Pittsburgh Central Catholic four-star cornerback Damar Hamlin and Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star athlete Brandon Burton for the weekend — and those are just the headliners of the group. Irish Prep For Huge Visit Weekend USC commit Daelin Hayes — the nation's No. 3 outside linebacker and No. 13 overall player according to Rivals — will be tough to flip, but Notre Dame has made him a top priority and will get a chance to make a big impression on him Oct. 17.
