PSU The Buckeyes lead the all-time series, 17-13 MOST RECENT MEETING Penn State scored 17 unanswered points in the second half, includ- ing a 31-yard Sam Ficken field goal with nine seconds left that sent the game into overtime. During the second OT period Ohio State prevailed, earning the 31-24 controversial win Oct. 25, 2014, in Beaver Stadium. GOOD NEWS When ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation, Ohio State holds an all-time record of 72-12-1, includ- ing a 55-4 mark against unranked opponents. BAD NEWS The Buckeyes have fumbled the ball 15 times already this season, which is more than any other team in the Big Ten, but they've only lost six of those fumbles. DID YOU KNOW? Meyer has three separate 20- game win streaks throughout his coaching career. He has a chance to extend that to four Saturday, as the Buckeyes haven't been de- feated in 19 conseuctive games. No other coach in college football has more than two 20-game win streaks. Photo Bill Anderson TOTAL BLACKOUT With their uniforms and QBs, Ohio State shakes things up for PSU When representatives from Nike &rst reached out to Ohio State last year about all-black al- ternate uniforms, which will be worn against Penn State, Urban Meyer shot them down. "No way," he said. "Not a chance." Then a(er months of discussion with ath- letic director Gene Smith and team leaders – "Not the whole team," Meyer clari- &ed, "because there are a bunch of guys that I don't care what they think" – the head coach came around to it. Meyer was reluctant at &rst because of the tradition behind OSU's usual scarlet and gray unis, but he later con- ceded that a di'erent look would provide a "unique ex- perience" for the players, fans, students and, maybe most important, recruits who will be in attendance. Con- fessed Meyer, "They do look pretty sharp." The alternate jerseys weren't the only topic at Meyer's press conference; they aren't the only thing he's wavered on either. As one Colum-
