O T H E R M A T C H U P S THE LOWDOWNOhio State has the slight advantage here across the board. Marshall is the second-leading punt re- turner in the Big Ten, averaging 14.1 yards per attempt. Junior Cameron Johnston leads the Big Ten in punting with an average of 47.2 yards per attempt. Possibly the only area on special teams where Ohio State is suspect is with its senior PK Jack Willoughby, who has converted on just 6 of 9 field goal attempts with his longest field goal being 31 yards. It will be interesting to see who will kick for Penn State. Redshirt freshman Joey Julius missed two PATs against Indiana, and while James Franklin offered a vote of confidence this week, he did leave the door open for fellow freshman Tyler Davis. // EDGEOhio State SPECIAL TEAMS THE LOWDOWNOhio State has dominated this series lately, winning five of the past six contests. In 2013, Penn State suffered an embarrassing 63-14 loss at the Horseshoe. Penn State's series record against Ohio State is 13-17. // EDGEOhio State THIS 'N' THAT THE LOWDOWN Despite its unbeaten record, Ohio State hasn't played up to its No. 1 ranking. Still, Urban Meyer is coming off a national championship and has to be considered the No. 1 coach in the country. Franklin will be making his first trip to the Horseshoe as Penn State's head coach and will be looking to add a more upbeat chap- ter to the Lions' mostly dreary history in Columbus. It won't be easy. Penn State has had its own struggles this season, particularly on offense, and will need to play its best game of the season to hang in there with the Buck- eyes. // EDGEOhio State COACHING STAFF O C T O B E R 1 4 , 2 0 1 5 B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M 5 downs. Sophomore WR Jalin Marshall is tied with Elliott for second with 16 catches 279 yards. Miller and Samuel both have 13 receptions. With receivers like Thomas, Miller and Samuel, it's surprising that Ohio State has struggled with turnovers and, at least until its game with Maryland, had trouble with its vertical passing game. Penn State ranks fourth in the Big Ten in pass defense but is 12th in the league with just four interceptions. Freshman CB John Reid leads the team with two interceptions, while Nassib and sophomore CB Grant Haley have also registered an interception apiece. Penn State leads the Big Ten in sacks with 25, and Nassib leads the country with 10 sacks. He's also caused a conference-leading five fumbles. // KEY MATCHUP Ohio State's Farris will be trying to keep Nassib out of the backfield, while Miller will do battle in the secondary with Penn State FS Marcus Allen. // EDGEOhio State
