FOOTBALL RECRUITING for Rashan." Gary could be the "big fish" for Michigan's 2016 recruiting class, but Kemp, a 6-3, 250-pounder from Boul- der (Colo.) Fairview, could be just as key a piece in bringing the defensive line class together. Rivals.com's top senior in Colorado, and No. 9 weak- side defensive end and No. 203 over- all prospect in the nation, is very high on the Wolverines as well. "I basically got to see everything, and the ins and outs of the whole campus," Kemp said. "It was pretty exciting. I had a great host in Zach Gentry, and I spent a majority, almost all of my time, shadowing him pretty much. He led me through campus senior in Georgia, and the No. 2 athlete and No. 16 overall prospect nationally. Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee are among his other top contenders. Miami Senior wide receiver Keyshawn Young The 5-11, 165-pound Young is ranked by Rivals.com as a three-star recruit, the No. 57 senior in Florida and the No. 67 wide receiver in the land. Although he's not among the most highly ranked U-M targets, he is also being recruited by Alabama and USC. Houston Elsik linebacker Dontavious Jackson Rivals.com rates the 6-2, 238-pound Jackson as a four-star prospect, the No. 36 senior in Texas and the No. 11 inside linebacker in the country. Alabama, Florida, LSU and Oregon are among the other schools in pursuit, though he's favored Michigan in the past. Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha offensive lineman Terrance Davis The 6-4, 307-pound Davis is ranked by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit, the top senior in Maryland, and the No. 2 offensive guard and No. 46 overall prospect in the nation. He has long held Michigan atop his list, and with his hometown school Maryland struggling this fall, U-M should be able to maintain that lead. Alabama, Georgia, and UCLA will use official visits to try to make up that ground. Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite offensive lineman Jean Delance Rivals.com lists the 6-5, 270-pound Delance as the No. 16 senior in Texas, and the No. 13 offensive tackle and No. 159 overall prospect nationally. He will also take official visits to Alabama, Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M. U-M is playing from behind for Delance. Paramus (N.J.) Catholic wide receiver Donald Stewart The 6-4, 185-pound Stewart is ranked by Rivals.com as a three-star talent and the No. 19 senior in New Jersey. Stanford and Rutgers are the primary competi- tion for him, but U-M's connections to his high school — director of player per- sonnel Chris Partridge was the head coach at Paramus last year — should help. — Tim Sullivan
