MICHIGAN IN THE PROS les (18 solo), broke up five passes and notched four interceptions in five starts for the 2‑3 Raiders. The NHL MAC PACIORETTY IS OFF TO A BLAZING START The Montreal Canadiens are off and running to a 6‑0 start, and new captain and former Wolverine Max Pacioretty is a big reason why. Pa‑ cioretty scored four goals and added two assists in the first six games, de‑ spite missing most of the preseason while recovering from a broken leg. "The most rewarding thing right now is that we're rolling four lines," Pacioretty told The Montreal Ga- zette after a 3‑2 win over Pittsburgh Oct. 14. "We're playing well in our own end, and that's translating to good scoring opportunities. "Everyone has contributed offen‑ sively, and that brings the team closer together." The Habs were the NHL's only club without a regulation or over‑ time/shootout defeat as of Oct. 19, scoring a league‑high 20 goals and giving up a league‑low seven. Pacioretty also opened the season Max Pacioretty, who was named Montreal's team captain during the offseason, found the back of the net four times and contributed two assists during the Canadiens' 6-0 start.
