HIGH-FLYING WINGS Junior Zak Irvin clearly developed into a leader amid the devastating injuries the Wolverines suffered last season. He shared Michigan's MVP award, averaging 14.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. But Irvin went on the shelf before fall practice began this year, under- going a back procedure expected to keep him out of practice for weeks. Beilein did note he expected Ir- vin back in practices, and possibly games, by the beginning of the regu- lar season. For now, that leaves Meyer with four primary wings to guide: LeVert and Dawkins on the left side of the offense, where Irvin also operates, along with sophomore Kam Chat- man and Robinson on the right. "Duncan and Aubrey both have versatility on both sides," Meyer pointed out. "That's the great thing about what we look at for this team. I'd say we have options that have versatility to them. "I could see Aubrey playing on both wings, and I can envision Dun- can having the same ability.
