man Kyree Wade-McLeod, (No. 21) and quarterbacks Kyle McCloskey (No. 22) and Nasir Boykins (No. 23). My sleeper in this class is linebacker Major Jordan of North Schuylkill High in Ashland. Brown transferred from Philadelphia Neumann-Goretti to Imhotep Charter following the 2014 season. He was a 8rst-team Philadelphia All-Catholic se- lection last year a:er totaling 1,341 yards and 11 touchdowns. Smith is the 8rst FBS prospect to emerge from the Ligonier Valley football program in the past decade. He was an All-Conference performer in 2014, and at the beginning of September he re- ceived a verbal scholarship o9er – his 8rst – from Michigan's Jim Harbaugh. Robinson was a WPIAL All-Area selec- tion at Pittsburgh University Prep fol- lowing a sophomore season in which he posted nearly 100 tackles. He is rated by many as the No. 2 linebacker prospect in the WPIAL for the Class of 2017, behind only Adams, who is widely considered one of the top 8ve middle linebacker prospects in the country in his class. Wade-McLeod ranks right behind Lynch as the No. 2 o9ensive line prospect in southeastern Pennsylvania, while McCloskey is the top quarterback in the Inter-AC League in suburban Philadelphia. In 2014, McCloskey passed for 1,182 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 222 yards and three TDs. Boykins was a Philadel- phia Public League All- City performer last sea- son, throwing for 2,075 yards and 21 touchdowns at Martin Luther King High. He transferred to Imhotep Charter before the start of the 2015 season. Jordan, who I rank as the 25th-best prospect in Pennsylvania's Class of 2017, is probably what most recruiting ana- lysts would label an "early sleeper." He was a PIAA Class AA All-State selection last year, and some would probably rate him as the No. 1 prospect in the coal re- gion. A starter since his freshman year, he posted more than 100 tackles last fall. Now, a quick note about Pennsylva- nia's Class of 2018: It may be hard to be- lieve, but as many as nine members of this class are already starting to receive some type of national recruiting recog- nition. Two of them deserve special mention here: defensive end Micah Par- sons of Central Dauphin High in Harris- burg and running back/athlete Isaiah TOP PROSPECT Barber is among the 2017 players who have received scholarship of- fers from the Nittany Lions. Photo cour- tesy of Ri- vals.com R ivals250 o9ensive lineman Robert Hainsey is o9 to an excellent start as a junior at IMG Academy. The Monroeville, Pa., native transferred from Gateway High School only a few weeks before preseason practice began but has already made a major impact, starting every game at le: tackle. However, as his father, Ron Hainsey, explained, that's just a small part of the overall package that ultimately made the switch an easy decision. "Everything has been going really well for Robert. He's really happy down there," Ron Hainsey said. "From a football perspective, he couldn't re- ally ask for much more. He's been playing against excellent players in practice each day and they play some of the best teams across the nation. They also have excellent facilities, so he has the best of the best around him. "I know he also loves his coaches. Spencer Hodges, the o9ensive line coach, has been great to him. Robert is extremely happy with him. He's really been taking time and going out of his way to help Robert with whatever he needs. He just raves about him, so I think it's going really well. Plus, they take academics very serious down there. They have study hall every night and he's doing great, so he really couldn't ask for much more. It's been a great move for him." Hainsey has also seen his scholar- ship count grow considerably since moving to Bradenton, Fla. In addition to picking up an o9er from Miami in mid-October, he's also seen Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio State and South Car- olina get involved. But Penn State and Michigan State are still the two schools that he speaks with most fre- quently. "He's still talking to Terry Smith reg- ularly," Hainsey said, referring to the Penn State assistant coach. "When he actually moved down there, we set it up with Terry so it would still be easy for the two of them to continue talking regularly. They have an excellent rela- tionship. Honestly, the whole family has a good relationship with Terry. | IMG offensive lineman has Lions on his list
