FINISHING STRONG … AGAIN In the weekend's lone matchup between ranked teams, No. 9 Notre Dame outlasted No. 21 Temple, 24-20. It was exactly the kind of battle Notre Dame expected from Temple, which entered the contest with the No. 7 scor- ing defense in the country. "We expected it to be a good game, and that's what we got," Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said. "We're re- ally proud of the way our team played in the fourth quarter, making a play when we needed both on offense and defense. We made one more play than Temple made."
