I feel more prepared for the jobs that will come my way after college because our experiences are prepping us for nothing but success post- college. The other asset we are gaining in our intern- ships is clearly defining our work ethic. While we all agree work ethic is a quality that is often inherent, our internships have shown us how hard we will have to work to become successful in organizations such as the VAF. Aimee says, "The experience has given me a clear picture of what work ethic is needed and required in the workforce." As a pitcher on UVA's softball team, Aimee knows all too well that without hard work, success is impossible, and she has gained a better perspective of the work it takes to contribute to an organization like the VAF. In my time with the VAF, I have come to under- stand that it is an organization where everyone has to pull equal weight. From the executive director Dirk Katstra to the interns, every job is essential to the progress of the organization as a whole. Learning how to give our best to the VAF everyday is teaching us to be passionate about what we do. Passion cultivates work ethic and a good work ethic cultivates success. As interns, we are experiencing this everyday and it is shaping the kind of passion and work ethic we will bring to our jobs after college and beyond.
