T h at c h a n ge d i n 1960 when John McKay became the head coach of the Trojans. His demand was rather than play in the cold of late No- vember (or December) in northern In- diana, USC would instead play at Notre Dame in the odd-numbered years dur- ing the more tolerable autumn days in October. That's been the case ever since 1961, but USC still is easily the leader as the opponent with the most home finales at Notre Dame Stadium. On Nov. 14, Wake Forest was Notre Dame's last home game of the season for the sec- ond time in four years. Top Five Home Finale Opponents School Games ND Record 1. USC 12 9-3 2t. Air Force 7 6-1 2t.
