pretty much talk to each other every day or two." Okeke took o4cial visits to Notre Dame in October and Texas A&M in November. He was scheduled to take an o4cial visit to Penn State on the weekend of the Michi- gan game and was hoping to make his de- cision shortly a5er returning home. "I am kind of shooting for the end of November," he said. Penn State had its bye week prior to the Michigan game, and the coaching sta3 took advantage of the late-season break in the schedule to make a series of high school visits. The coaches dropped in on both committed players and some top un- declared prospects. One of the sta3's more noteworthy visits took place on Nov. 13, when both Franklin and Terry Smith stopped by Woodland Hills in Pittsburgh to check up on running back Miles Sanders. The Rivals100 running back was the 2rst prospect to commit to Penn State back in July 2014, but it now looks as though he will take multiple o4cial visits once his season ends. Right now, the Nittany Lions' top competitor appears to be Pitt, as the four-star prospect has attended two games at Heinz Field this season, in addition to making a few uno4cial visits over the past six months. In addition, both Michigan and Alabama have continued to pursue the nation's top-ranked all-purpose back. Sanders should have a few o4cial visits set by the start of December. It appears he will visit Penn State Jan. 22-24. Assistant coach Charles Hu3 also hit the road during Penn State's bye week. A5er checking up on a few 2017 prospects in Maryland and Washington, D.C., on Nov. 12, Hu3 made his way to Martin Luther King High School in Detroit the following day to meet with Dale Harvel, head coach of cornerback Lavert Hill. Like Sanders, Hill has remained committed to Penn State, but he's also taken several un- o4cial visits to both Michigan and Michi- gan State since the summer. He was ex- pected to take an o4cial visit for Penn State's game against Michigan, but it's also likely he will return to Ann Arbor be- fore he signs his letter of intent. Another notable prospect who received a visit during Penn State's bye week was linebacker Brendan Ferns of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
