MICHIGAN BASKETBALL you make any little mistake, it's just tough. And the stuff that they're run- ning, you don't see a lot in the college ranks. You just don't see it. They just pick you apart and pick you apart … no answers." The Wolverines did get 15 points apiece from sophomore guard Mu- hammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and redshirt sophomore wing Duncan Robinson, who canned five three- pointers for the second straight game. But it wasn't nearly enough to counter the onslaught SMU presented. "We were going to have to play a special game, and we just couldn't," Beilein said. "We did not play well, and they made us play poorly." Of Tolbert, Beilein said: "He was like a man playing with boys out there. He just went out and got it." Beilein acknowledged the loss as a gut-check type of game. "It's still young in this season. If you're going to get beat, get beat early," he said. "Like I said, 'You think you're good? You're not good. That team's good.' "We're a long way from being good. I think [Michigan hockey coach] Red Berenson said it: 'You play like a champion, but you practice all the time like you're in second place.' Well, we weren't in second place today. "Knowing these guys, they'll say, 'Okay, that's how far away we are? We'd better get to work.'" WOLVERINES HELP KEEP ACC WINLESS IN CHALLENGE SINCE 2008 The Atlantic Coast Conference won a decade's worth of ACC/Big Ten Challenges to open the series, with many wondering why it was even contested every year. Those tides have turned, in a big way. MICHIGAN BASKETBALL SCHEDULE 2015-16 Date Opponent Time Nov. 6 Le Moyne% W, 74-52 Nov. 13 Northern Michigan W, 70-44 Nov. 16 Elon!
