FOOTBALL RECRUITING
BY ANDREW IVINS
I
n years past, Notre Dame's annual
football awards show has been one
of the premier recruiting weekends
for the program. The Irish have used
the banquet as a platform to secure
the signatures of top targets like tight
end Alizé Jones and offensive tackle
Ronnie Stanley.
While the 2015 version of the event
didn't have as many uncommitted visi-
tors as ones in the past, what it lacked in
numbers was made up for in talent.
Notre Dame welcomed arguably
two of its top defensive targets to cam-
pus the weekend of Dec. 11 for the
awards show in Fresno (Calif.) Clovis
West five-star linebacker Caleb Kelly
and Old Tappan (N.J.) High four-star
safety Jordan Fuller. Both of them —
along with the nine Notre Dame com-
mits also on hand for official visits
— left with glowing reviews about
the Irish.
"It was real good," Fuller said when
asked about the visit. "I was up there
before for my unofficial in the sum-
mer, but it was good to just get back
there for a refresher and to hang out
with some of the players."
