Just as James Franklin and his sta3 pursue prospects who have already committed elsewhere, a few schools have also been talking to the players who have committed to Penn State. During the course of the season, Michigan made it clear that it was interested in four-star cornerback Lavert Hill. The Detroit prospect made multiple visits to Ann Arbor this season and built a relationship with Jim Harbaugh and his sta3 that was strong enough to prompt him to reopen his recruitment on Nov. 29. "I want to thank Penn State and the coaches for believing in me and extending the opportunity for me to further my foot- ball career there," Hill said via a statement on Twitter. "A5er talking with my family and mentors, I feel I committed too early. It is best that I reopen my recruitment and make sure I choose the best college for me. So, I am decommitting from Penn State." Hill is considering the Nittany Lions, and he may yet take an o4cial visit to University Park. He traveled to Tennessee on Dec. 4 for an o4cial visit, so he's still weighing his options. But there are strong indications that he will ultimately sign with the Wolverines. Unfortunately for the Lions, Hill isn't the only prospect who has decided to look around. On Dec. 11, reporters at Auburn learned that Philadelphia native Karamo Dioubate would be taking an o4cial visit with Gus Malzahn and his sta3 that week- end.
