As a member of the Atlantic 10 confer- ence years ago, Penn State used to domi- nate nearly everybody, and the Lady Lions were especially hard on St. Bonaventure. They won all 10 of their matchups against the Bonnies from 1987 to '91, all by double digits. The closest of those games was a 19-point romp at Rec Hall in 1990. But lately, the Bonnies have been getting a bit of revenge. A year ago, they pulled out a 56-54 victory at the Bryce Jordan Center on a layup with 1.4 seconds re- maining, prevailing miraculously in a game in which they trailed for more than 30 minutes. And when the two teams met again earlier this month at the Reilly Center in St. Bonaventure, N.Y., the Bonnies turned the tables much more decisively. This time they jumped all over the Lady Lions, holding the lead for more than 38 minutes and building it to 19 points in the third quarter. Senior guard Brianna Banks poured in a career-high 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting, while redshirt sophomore guard Lindsey Spann added 17, but otherwise the Lady Lions didn't get enough pro- ductivity to earn a road victory. Their other three starters – Kaliyah Mitchell, Peyton Whitted and Teniya Page – com- bined for 12 points on 3-of-21 shooting. Meanwhile, PSU's four bench players went 2 of 9 to 9nish with 9ve points. The loss was Penn State's 9
