INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS she chooses her experiences at U-M have her feeling prepared and confident for the next chapter. "I'm still pretty undecided right now, but I want to be able to touch people with visual art," she explained. "Whether that means working in sports or in a different advertising area, my passion is making visual art through photogra- phy and film. "Making people feel better through those mediums and music is a release for me, and it's what I want to do with my life." — Brandon Brown Getting To Know Women's Basketball Freshman Guard Nicole Munger Despite her youth, freshman Nicole Munger has played in each of U-M's first 17 games and even cracked the starting lineup against Purdue in late December. Through Jan. 17, the 5-11 guard was playing 16.3 minutes per game and ranked fourth on the team with an average of 7.2 points per contest. Nickname: "It's just Munger. It's just my last name, but that's what everyone calls me." Favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor: "I would say The Blue Tractor." Best meal she can cook by herself: "I'm a terrible cook — terrible. But I can do some pretty good scrambled eggs and maybe some Belgian waffles." Sports she plays besides basketball: "I was actually a cheerleader before any- thing else, but I only did it for one year. I don't talk about it much because I didn't like it and moved on to sports immediately. I played football, soccer, baseball and softball for a little bit." Hobbies: "Especially here in Ann Arbor, the other freshmen and I just like go- ing around Ann Arbor and experiencing the city. We like to just hang out, go on adventures and have fun together." Favorite TV show: "'The King of Queens.'" Favorite movie: "'Miracle.'" Favorite venue she's ever played in: "I would say my high school gym, hon- estly [Munger attended Central Bucks West in Doylestown, Pa.]. It was a really small gym and when there were a lot of people in there it was really loud. I loved playing in that gym in front my friends and family from my hometown." Favorite professional athlete: "I'm going to go with a football player. I'd either say Peyton Manning or Brian Dawkins."
