Penn State appears to have found a
very promising scorer in freshman Teniya
Page, but her presence isn't translating
into victories just yet.
During Michigan's visit to the Bryce
Jordan Center on Jan. 17, Page poured
in a career-high 31 points. It was the
fourth time in six games that the 5-
foot-7 guard from Chicago led the Lady
Lions in scoring, and it was the 9rst
time since February 2007 that a Penn
State freshman topped 30 points in a
game. Her dazzling shooting perform-
ance – she went 10 of 17 from the :oor
and 10 of 10 from the line – boosted
her scoring average to 15.6 points per
game, best on the team.
