M . | F E B . 5 | B R Y C E J O R D A N C E N T E R | B T N The Nittany Lions have already wrestled once at the BJC this season, routing Wiscon- sin, 36-7, in their Big Ten opener. But that match was really just a tantalizing warm-up act. The main event will take place in February when Penn State plays host to the Buckeyes. Between them, Penn State and Ohio State have won the past 0ve national championships. Four of those titles belong to the Lions, but last year's NCAA tourna- ment trophy resides in Columbus. As of mid-January, Ohio State was ranked seventh in the InterMat poll, paced by top-ranked Nathan Tomasello at 125 pounds and sec- ond-ranked Bo Jordan at 165. A year ago, Ohio State edged the Nittany Lions, 22-15, at St. John Arena. But the Buckeyes have graduated their top wrestler, four-time national champ Logan Stieber, while the Lions appear loaded for another title run. They were ranked No. 1 by InterMat on the heels of an impressive a 0rst-place 0nish at the South- ern Scu1e earlier this month. First things 0rst, though. If they're going to claim the Big Ten regular-season title, they'll need to avenge last season's loss to the Buckeyes. Ex- pect about 15,000 fans to be on hand to help them do it. – M.H. SCORECARD
