Dear Cavalier Fans,
Your generosity in 2015 resulted in our highest annual
fundraising total in the history of the Virginia Athletics
Foundation! We cannot begin to thank you enough for
your loyal support.
Our fundraising goals in 2015 were by far our most
challenging in many years. With the dramatic scholar-
ship cost increase, due to normal tuition increases and
the NCAA recently approved cost of attendance stipends,
our $17.5 million goal was significantly higher than our 2014 annual fund
total. While we did not reach our $17.5 million annual fund goal (12%
increase over 2014), we did surpass $17 million. The previous record was
set in 2008 at $16.9 million. Thank you to each of our 9,679 donors who
supported our student-athletes and coaches in 2015.
In addition, we raised just over $1.6 million in endowment contributions
and another $750,000 in Coaches 10 gifts – adding up to almost $19.4 mil-
lion towards our All In For Excellence goal of $22.5 million. Below are
