STATE ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ 59 11 13 ✪ ✪ ✪ –– 90 59 ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ 111 12 13 ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ 55 9 9 MEASURABLES • Clocked a 4.61 in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.01 in the 20-yard shuttle to post a Nike Football Rating of 117.66 at The Opening. Added a 33.2- inch vertical jump. • Ran a 4.78 in the 40-yard dash the spring before his junior season. STATISTICS • Caught 56 passes for 1,173 yards and 13 touch- downs to lead Centennial to a Pac-5 champion- ship his senior season. Scored in every game, and added a pair of kickoff return touchdowns to go along with two TD passes. • Totaled 97 catches for 2,062 yards and 22 touch- downs as a junior. The yardage set a CIF Southern Section single-season record. • Holds the Inland record with 3,752 career receiv- ing yards and tied the area record with 43 career touchdown receptions. HONORS • As a senior, was tabbed as Cal-Hi Sports' first- team multi-purpose player on the all-state squad. • Was also picked for the USA Today All-California second team, The Los Angeles Times all-area team and the Pac-5 Division All-CIF squad following his senior campaign. • Named to the 2014 MaxPreps All-America sec- ond team and Junior All-America unit. • Was also The Los Angeles Times Back of the Year and the Cal-Hi Sports State Junior of the Year. ALL-STAR GAMES AND CAMPS • Selected for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and caught a 12-yard touchdown pass for the West team in a 37-9 win. Was picked by teammates to be a captain for the squad. • Competed at The Opening at Nike's World Head- quarters in Beaverton, Ore., in July. RECRUITMENT • Committed to Notre Dame at U.S. Army All- American Bowl live on NBC Jan. 9, picking the Irish over his other finalists Oregon and Washington. • One of the most coveted wide receivers in Califor- nia, McKinley held offers from more than 25 schools. • Took three visits in total to Notre Dame, including a pair of unofficial visits in March and June. Returned for the USC game with his mother in October. • Irish offensive coordinator Mike Sanford was the primary point of contact for Notre Dame, but asso- ciate head coach Mike Denbrock was also involved. NOTABLE • Born April 10, 1998. 2016 PROJECTION • He is expected to compete for playing time at the W position following Chris Brown's departure and possibly contribute on special teams. THEY SAID IT • Head coach Brian Kelly (courtesy UND.com): "Javon proved he is an elite wide receiver while playing at a well respected California high school and will have the chance to contribute to our of- fense very early. Javon comes from a great family and I am excited that he is a part of our program." • Associate head coach/wide receivers coach Mike Denbrock: "We like long receivers the can run. So he fit that profile of really that type of dy- namic athlete that not only had size but the ability to do something after he had the football in his hands. … This is an offense that he can thrive in with his particular skill set and this is a university that academically fits him to a 'T.'"
