2016 RECRUITING ISSUE friends, and he wants me to be just as good if not better than Romeo. I defi- nitely want to get up there and take advantage of the opportunities." Julian committed last April, and said Romeo tried to balance his desire for Julian to follow him to South Bend with letting his younger brother decide what his best path was. "He just wanted me to go to the school that was best for me," Julian said. "He always tried to sell me on Notre Dame because he had a great time there. "He wanted me to meet the same kind of people he did up there. He met great people. It just happened to be that I picked Notre Dame." Julian, the more outgoing of the Ok- wara brothers, said he has developed close relationships with a number of his fellow class of 2016 commitments. "On my official visit, I started hang- ing out with Daelin Hayes more," he said. "He's one of the people I talk to a lot. We all have a good relationship, all of the commits, and have bonded. When I went there, Jamir Jones, Daelin Hayes and I got to hang out with Julian Love a little bit." Julian recently turned 18 years old, while Romeo graduated before turning 21. "The main thing I'm good at, I guess, is my length and using my speed," Ju- lian said. "I'm trying to work on getting my weight up, getting stronger so I can play." ✦
