There's something special
about Notre Dame's campus.
Just ask Jacksonville (Fla.) First
Coast wide receiver Kevin Step-
herson, and he'll tell you all
about it.
History and tradition abound
in the beautiful architecture and
numerous landmarks. But for
many like Stepherson, Notre
Dame is more than just pretty
surroundings and buildings —
there's a certain feeling that ac-
companies it all.
"When I first stepped on
campus, everything just looked
like what I dreamed about in
a college," Stepherson said. "It
looked like everything I wanted
to do and everything I wanted
to be.
"It's very different up north,
but I know different is good
sometimes and I loved it."
The 5-11, 171-pound wideout
made his first journey from Jack-
sonville to South Bend for Notre
Dame's Irish Invasion recruiting
event in June. Prior to his visit,
he envisioned how he wanted
his first trip that far up north
to unfold — he would fall in
love with and commit to Notre
Dame.
"I was going to commit before
it, but I wanted to get a feel for
