Julian Love understands entertain-
ing thoughts that — at least at the time
— might seem too good to be true.
So when the LaGrange Park (Ill.)
Nazareth Academy star was asked
when he knew Notre Dame was the
program for him, he didn't name
a moment in his youth, after aging
through his elementary and middle
school days as a fan of the Irish.
It wasn't until a meeting with Notre
Dame associate head coach Mike Den-
brock during his junior year of high
school that Love finally started to be-
lieve the school he'd admired for so
long could be the destination for him.
"It's been a dream of mine to play
for Notre Dame since I was young,"
Love said. "I just didn't think it could
actually happen until that meeting
with Coach Denbrock.
"I immediately put Notre Dame at
the top of my list, ahead of all the other
schools. I tried so hard to get that schol-
