gimpy players made this season a challenge. Twenty-two wins and a NCAA berth
is a hell of a coaching job.

• I agree with the blood out of the stone comment. There is lots of mediocre tal-
ent/recruiting, still elite coaching. No pros played for us while Caris LeVert was out.
You need pros to win big nowadays. Hence my call for higher-end recruits.
It starts with not settling for a marginal backup point guard in 2017. Think a top-
40 kid is scared of Xavier Simpson? I don't. One point guard on the team. Don't
SETTLE!

• Exactly why you can't go off the deep end before Selection Sunday — you've got
to let things play out. The team was frustrating lots of times, but given the person-
nel situation — we overachieved.
