nsted (Mich.) High center and
Michigan basketball signee Aus-
tin Davis has taken his game to new
heights during his team's deep run in
the Class B state playoffs. His back-
to-back 40-point games advanced the
Wildcats to the regional final, the lat-
ter a 46-point, 14-rebound, five-block
game in a 74-51 win over Grosse Ile
(Mich.) High.
Davis (6-10, Rivals.com three-star
prospect nationally) was averaging
24.7 points, 14.4 rebounds and 4.8
blocks per game while shooting 78.9
percent from the floor, including 4 of
5 from three-point range, for the No.
1-ranked team in Class B.
"He is how we go," head coach
Brad Maska told MLive.com. "Every-
body plays us different. Some people
will zone us, and that's when our
other guys have done a tremendous
job being able to handle all the differ-
ent situations.
