The pain that comes with an excruciating loss. The pain that comes in a fourth-year's last game. The pain that comes with falling just short of a Final Four. Bennett, though, referencing an old church song, said that "joy would come in the morn- ing" upon the realization of what his team had accomplished. No doubt, there were plenty of accom- plishments. • Virginia finished the season with a 15-0 record at John Paul Jones Arena, marking the first time since 1981-82 it had gone un- defeated at home. • UVA's fourth-year class finished with 112 wins, tying a school record set by the group that capped their careers in 1983. • Redshirt fourth-year guard Malcolm Brogdon became the second Virginia player to earn first-team All-America honors, join- ing Ralph Sampson. • Virginia's Elite Eight appearance was its first since 1995.
