Harbison, a three-star recruit, is perhaps the most accomplished member of UVA's 2016 class. He is Cleveland County's all- time leading rusher with 5,770 career yards, plus he scored 100 career rushing touch- downs. He helped lead Crest to back-to- back state championships in 2014 and 2015, while going 32-0 over those two seasons. An all-state honoree this past season, Harbison rushed for 300 yards and seven touchdowns in the state title game last fall, after having rushed for 192 yards and three scores in the 2014 title game. During his senior season, he rushed for 2,080 yards and 38 touchdowns, after finishing with 1,850 yards and 38 scores as a junior. "I think Tre is similar to some of the bigger-style backs we've had in the past — especially at BYU, guys who had a similar type of skill set. Obviously that's intriguing for us," said Justin Anderson, UVA's direc- tor of player personnel. "Schematically for us, his skill set fits. He's still young and he's still growing. "Even in these few weeks that we've had, he's been able to get going. And the great thing is he's here, he's working out, he's completely bought into what we're doing, and I think that's going to pay big dividends for him." "As a high school player, he was a big- ger back who was super productive," Ri- vals.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman said. "He could grind out yards, but he could also pick them up in big chunks. He had that speed to be elite at the high school level. "The question now for him is if that's elite at the college level. I still think he's going to be a very good, very productive back for UVA. He's very durable, and that's really going to serve him well."
